NEW PATENT PENDING!
Stellar news on the home front! Dr. Katsnelson assigned a new patent to Kalaco Scientific and on June 19th, 2007, Kalaco officially filed for the new patent, titled “Multi-channel Electrostimulation Apparatus and Method.” Kalaco is very excited about the possibilities this new technology brings and we look forward to adding to Kalaco’s innovation-driven foundation.
The operation of the new apparatus is based on the modern theory and knowledge of the mechanisms of pain. Complementing existing and developing Nexalin transcranial electro-stimulators, the multi-channel therapy is designed to extend the benefit of Kalaco’s unique family of non-invasive therapies to a wider group of people, including patients who might have previously been contraindicated.

ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, INSOMNIA (ADI) INDICATIONS APPROVAL
Get ready for Nexalin’s scope of influence to expand in Europe! Our notified Body, Intertek ETL SEMKO, issued an approval to include the additional indications of Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia within our CE marking. As with the U.S. market, we plan to add these indications in Europe, which will significantly extend our patient base.
GERMANY
WORLD’S FIRST ATTEMPT AT MEASURING EFFECTS OF TRANSCRANIAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION WITH EEG
Groundbreaking news for Kalaco and medical research! We are in the process of organizing our participation in scientific trials in several countries related to evaluating the use of EEG measurement of Nexalin Treatment. If successful as speculated, the EEG may give new means of monitoring the safety and mechanisms of Nexalin Therapy.
In the initial trials, we will participate with scientists from The University of Potsdam in Berlin, Germany as well as Russian institutions. The facilities and analysis at the University of Potsdam and the Russian laboratories for the first tests have been offered at no charge. Additional research agreements will follow once the results of the first tests are known. We welcome and appreciate the willingness of these professional facilities to pursue this novel technique with us. Preliminary evaluations are currently taking place.
AUSTRALIA
TGA APPROVES THE NEXALIN DEVICE FOR CE MARK INCLUSION IN RECORD TIME
Kalaco is thrilled to announce the considerable strides we’ve taken in bringing clinics to Australia since the last newsletter! The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) – the equivalent of the United States FDA – has issued Kalaco their approval for the Nexalin Device for the relief of Musculoskeletal Pain as well as the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia. Our Australian representative informed us he has never witnessed such a quick approval cycle, which is a credit to the thoroughness of our Technical Documentation and our Kalaco team. We are eagerly looking forward to opening clinics in Australia and continue to progress towards this goal!
“NEXALIN” TRADEMARK
More good news from the Land Down Under! Kalaco has received the official trademark certificate for “Nexalin” in Australia. This mark will be applied to Nexalin Advanced Therapy Centers and the Nexalin Device, legally preserving proprietary status throughout Australia.
An abstract presented by Kalaco Scientific, Inc. was approved by the scientific committee of the 4th World Congress World Institute of Pain (WIP) and will be published in the official Congress Abstract Book. Recently, Kalaco Scientific, Inc. received an invitation to present a poster under the same title at the 4th World Congress of WIP in Budapest, Hungary, to be held September 25-28, 2007.
